Local car club gives ‘hope’ on wheels

A local car club is giving ‘hope’ for a 13-year-old boy living with kidney failure. Gilbert is a student at Gila Vista Middle School who has lived with kidney problems since he was born. After hearing his story through his daughter’s friend, Norberto Coronado, a member of the Yuma Lowrider community, wanted to make a difference in Gilbert’s life. Once Norberto shared Gilbert’s story on social media, a huge response from multiple car clubs raised funds to give Gilbert a shopping spree to ease the pain he lives with.
