It may be winter, but Yuma broke record for warmest high temperature

YUMA- Over 30 years ago, Yuma set a record for the hottest January 29th in history. However today, that record was broken.

The high temperature in Yuma reached 86 degrees. That number is 2 degrees higher than the previous record back in 1986, which was 84 degrees.

Normally for this time of the year, Yuma’s high temperature is around 70 degrees. The reason for the abnormally warm weather is due to high pressure sitting over the region. That will remain there for the rest of the week so temperatures will remain in the 80’s.
