Vehicle vs. pedestrian collision on 1st Street and 6th Avenue

A vehicle vs. pedestrian collision was reported on 1st Street and 6th Avenue at around 6:00 p.m. Friday evening.

According to the Yuma Police Department, initial investigation revealed that a passenger car was traveling east bound on 1st Street and collided with an adult man, who was crossing 1st Street, heading north bound at 6th Avenue.

According to a witness on the scene, the victim was crossing the street using the crosswalk when he was struck by a passenger car.

The victim was transported to Yuma Regional Medical Center and is currently in serious condition. The driver of the vehicle had no reported injuries.
