PET TALK: Meet “Kylo” and “Hera”

It’s Halloween eve and on this spooktacular edition of Pet Talk, we introduce you to a Queensland pitbull mix named Kylo and a multi-colored feline name Hera.

First up is Kylo, (correction: video says “Kyro,” his name is “Kylo”) a striking fella with beautiful markings. The shelter seems to think that this pitbull mix has some heeler in him maybe due to his coat. He is full of energy and would do best with a very active family. Kylo seems very young so it’s my guess he still has a lot of puppy in him. Super friendly, but protective, Kylo would make a perfect companion. He doesn’t do well with smaller animals so it’s important he be with bigger dogs his size or larger. He was brought to the shelter back in August by his owner who didn’t have the time to take care of him. If you think you could provide a great home for Kylo, don’t hesitate to stop by as he is neutered and ready to see you.

Next we have Miss Hera. She is quite the cat with her playful disposition and independent manner. A beautiful gray white and orange coat, she was brought into the shelter by her owner who did not have time for her. She is a mama cat having had kittens and is very protective of her things. She can be feisty so it’s best to just let her roam around and do her own thing. She is now spayed and has been at the shelter since September.

If you are interested either Kylo or Hera, you can call the Humane Society of Yuma at (928) 782-1621. They are open Tuesday through Sunday and for more information you can head to Madison Kimbro’s Facebook page @Madisonkyma.
