Collision involving two semi-trucks west of Interstate 8

A collision involving two semi-trucks at 5:44 a.m. eastbound of Interstate 8 west of Gila Bend has shut down the roadway.

According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened Tuesday morning leaving one semi-truck rolled over. Both semi-trucks lost their loads.

One of the drivers of the semi-trucks suffered injuries.

Officials say the roadway is still blocked as of 1:37 p.m. as they continue to clean up the debris from the collision.

Several cars were impacted by the debris this morning leading to minor collisions in the area of the collision.
