One person dead following crash on Interstate 8
One person is dead following a crash on Interstate 8 near Wellton, Ariz. Friday afternoon.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety said the crash happened at 4:09 p.m. One of the driver’s was making a U-turn in the median to go from westbound to eastbound.
That’s when he was struck by another vehicle.
The driver of the first vehicle died at the scene.
The other driver has minor injuries.
The left lane of eastbound Interstate 8 is blocked off as of 5 p.m.
