Three fun Yuma events you don’t want to miss this weekend

Yuma residents, are you looking for some fun activities for the weekend? Three events will be happening this Saturday, Oct. 7th in the city of Yuma.

YumaCon– The third annual comic convention will be hosted at the Yuma Civic Center located at 1440 W. Desert Hills Dr. on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Cosplay as your favorite character with other fans, play video games, and attend panels.

Presale tickets are $10 and $12 at the door.

Movie in the Park: Despicable Me– The family film will be shown on a monster blow-up movie screen so bring a blanket or lawn chairs and enjoy the movie under the stars. The movie event will be hosted at the West Wetlands Park at 7:30 p.m.

The event is free of charge.

Zombie Fest is an evening of fun and fitness where participants can wear zombie costumes.

Pre-registration is $17 and pre-registration deadline is Thursday, Oct. 5th by 1:00 p.m. The on-site fee is $26 and registration begins at 5 p.m.

The event starts at 6:00 p.m. and will be followed by music, food, drinks and Best Zombie Costume Contest after the course is completed.
