Car crashes into brick wall; driver sought

Police are searching for a driver after a Nissan Maxima crashed into a brick wall of a home in Yuma Thursday.

The incident happened before 1 p.m. between 16th St. and Magnolia Ave.

“The driver was making a right turn from west 16th Place to Magnolia Avenue when the car hit the curb and lost control,” said Yuma Police Department Officer Jarvis Powell.

The driver took off on foot while two passengers were left behind. According to police, one of the passengers was found with no injures. However, the second passenger was taken to Yuma Regional Medical center with unknown injuries.
