Authorities looking for ‘Bank Bandit’ suspected in multiple bank robberies

The FBI and the Yuma Police Department are asking for the public’s help identifying a man suspected of robbing two banks in Southern California and another one in Yuma on Friday.

The robberies, which were partially captured on surveillance cameras, happened within the past two weeks.

On Friday, the suspect demanded cash from a teller at a Wells Fargo Bank inside a Fry’s Food Store off West 24th Street in Yuma, police said.

On August 31, the same suspect allegedly robbed a U.S. Bank inside a Albertsons in Costa Mesa.

The next day, the alleged robber targeted a U.S. Bank inside a Ralphs in Aliso Viejo.

All three robberies happened in the afternoon. No one was injured.

If you recognize the suspect or have any information about the robberies, you’re urged to contact the Yuma Police Department at (928) 373-4700.
