On Tuesday afternoon, hundreds gathered to watch as Air Force One descended from the sky and land in Yuma. The massive customized 747 landed in Yuma amid triple digit temperatures and from the jet our 45th commander in chief exited. President Donald J. Trump made the brief stop in Yuma to meet with the men and women protecting our country both at home and abroad.
Once on the ground the president was driven via motorcade to the U.S. Border Patrol Air and Marine facility where he received an update from Yuma Sector agents. When he returned to the tarmac he visited with marines and their families before boarding Air Force One and flying to Phoenix. During the Phoenix rally the president commented about his visit to Yuma and the efforts being made by both the Border Patrol and Immigration and Customs Enforcement and of course had to mention Yuma’s climate.
