Former city mayor’s taxi service in serious car accident

Former Calexico City Mayor Luis Castro’s taxi service was in a serious car accident recently and is now under investigation.

The driver was trapped in the vehicle after it was hit by a 19-year-old on Highway 98 and Bowker Road.

The accident also highlights the importance of public transportation having the proper legal permits and insurance for the protection of the community.
