Yuma Mayor discusses Presidential visit

President Donald Trump is visiting Yuma on Tuesday but has not scheduled any official public addresses during his stop.

City of Yuma Mayor Douglas Nicholls and City officials are hoping Trump will discuss on topics such as immigration and border security.

U.S. Border Patrol and the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office could not comment on his visit due to security precautions.

Mayor Doug Nicholls said he is looking forward to seeing President Trump and believes that the trip will be beneficial for the city and Trump as well.

“Being in Washington D.C., far away from the border, I don’t think a lot of people truly understand it. So for him to get out and actually go to the border and see what we’re talking about,” said Mayor Nicholls.
