A look into the charities the Baja Blues Fest helps every year

It’s four charities the Baja Blues Fest in Rosarito, Mexico helps every year. All proceeds made at the festival, after paying for expenses, are handed out to local charities.

One of the charities to receive these proceeds is BECA, which stands for scholarships. With the help of these funds, they are able to help students from the 6th grade up until college pay for their studies.

Another local charity to receive funds is La Mision Children’s Fund. This charity helps kids with their education, medical needs, and food. Another area they also are focusing on is installing new water systems to provide children with clean drinking water in schools and orphanages. With the fund they have received from the Baja Blues Fest, this organization has been able to fund their projects such as an after school program to help students reach higher educational levels.

Both charities say they are extremely thankful to all those who help the Baja Blues Fest succeed each year.

The Baja Blues Fest will be taking place on Friday, August the 18th until Sunday the 20th. Tickets can be purchased at bajabluesfest.org.
