Three suspects seen in court today in connection to murder
Three of the suspects tied to the murder of a young man in Yuma were back in court Wednesday. Juan Torres was seen in court Wednesday afternoon. His attorney requested the bail amount to be cut in half, to $500,000. The judge denied the defendant’s request and is keeping the set amount of $1 million. Two juveniles were also seen today in court in connection with the murder of Leondre Richards. One juvenile is facing the same charges as his fellow co-defendants with first-degree murder, burglary, aggravated robbery, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and aggravated assault entering the private home of another with the intent to commit the assault, and is set to the same bond amount. In regards to the second juvenile, his case has been postponed until July 21st, at 4:00 pm where Torres along with his co-defendants for the preliminary hearing. Another co-defendant, 19-year-old Daniel Contreras, who was seen in court Tuesday will be seen again in court Thursday afternoon at 1 p.m. A recap of what we know thus far in this investigation…click here.
