Operation Drive Safe

The Yuma Police Department has re-launched it’s Operation Drive Safe program which is aimed at targeting violations that are more common in curtain areas. YPD has announced that their patrol officers will be along 32nd Street. They’ll be focusing their efforts in finding reckless drivers using their devices while driving, speeding, red light runners and those who fail to signal before turning.

32nd Street is one of the City of Yuma’s largest roadways stretching from Yuma’s west end to the foothills area. Operation Drive Safe has been successful in years passed and according to the latest stats more than 200 citations have been issued during this fiscal year.
