Topic of the Day: Retail Giant Announces Huge Deal

Mega retailer Wal-Mart has just announced an expansion to their “Differential Pay” program which helps active-duty service members while on deployment. The latest addition to the program would fill-in wage gaps; meaning if workers get paid less in the service than their wage at Wal-Mart, their store would fill the gap.

Wal-Mart has also implemented another policy which allows “Differential Pay” not only for those on deployment, but also for those who volunteer for additional training. The company has also pledged to hire more than a quarter million veterans by 2020.
