Yuma police looking for armed robbery suspect
The Yuma Police Department is investigating an armed robbery. Officers said they responded to Camelot Apartments located at 1325 S. Haupt Avenue, Wednesday at 11:40 p.m.
The initial investigation showed a man was in the process of burglarizing a vehicle, when he was confronted by the owner of the vehicle. The suspect displayed a handgun and pointed it at the victim and ordered him to lay down. The suspect fled the scene westbound with some of the victim’s personal belongings. The suspect has not been located or identified at the time of this press release.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic man, mid 20’s, slim, wearing a red baseball cap, red shirt and jeans with tattoos on both arms. There are no reported injuries reference this case.
