Pioneers Memorial Healthcare District receives $80,000 in donations

The Pioneers Memorial Healthcare District in Brawley received an $80,000 dollar donation this morning.

The money will be used for the final installment of the endoscopic ultrasound equipment. The new equipment will provide new techniques and physicians will have the ability to get a look of what lies beneath the surface of the gastrointestinal tract.

Doctors will also have the ability to diagnose and treat diseased as well as be able to more accurately diagnose tumors.

Many supporters were at this morning’s event including the Mayor of Brawley and representatives of Assemblyman Eduardo Garcia who presented a certificate of recognition to the healthcare district.

“Congratulations on your accomplishments thus far and best wishes on your continued success on this day Monday February 13, 2017 in Brawley, California, congratulations,” said Christian Nunez, Representative for Assembly member Eduardo Garcia.

“I know for 63 years of my history the hospital has been there for us, it’s been there for me on a personal level, and we hope that continues for a long time to come. So congratulations on this moment, and it’s a great thing and we look to see expansions in the future and wish the hospital all the luck and we are very supportive from the city side, thank you very much,” said Sam Couchman, Mayor of the city of Brawley.

The PIONEERS MEMORIAL HOSPITAL (PMH) foundation is a not for profit foundation that was founded in 1982 with a goal to help expand the services at Pioneers Memorial Hospital.
