Teenager recovering from motorcycle crash
A Yuma teenager is recovering tonight after being struck by a motorcycle.
The crash occurred around 1:30 p.m. near the Little Caesar’s on 24th street across from Arizona Western College.
The Yuma Police Department says 22-year-old Raynell Sanchez traveled at a dangerous speed and lost control.
First responders transported the victim to the Yuma Regional Medical Center and has since been airlifted to a Phoenix area hospital for further treatment. She sustained serious injuries and her current condition is unknown.
YPD arrested Sanchez on-scene for reckless driving.
