Lutes Casino owner wins big in the 145th anniversary sweepstakes of Smart and Final.

Longtime Yuma resident and business owner Mike Lutes of Lutes Casino was selected as the grand prize winner of the 145th anniversary sweepstakes of Smart and Final. Lutes had the option of getting a smart car worth 18,000 dollars or a check for the same amount.

Mr. Lutes chose the check and plans to use the money to buy his son a new car and use what is left to reinvest into his restaurant. He plans to update the building, purchase new equipment and make other improvements that will benefit restaurant patrons.

Mr. Lutes said he visits the store several times a week to purchase items he needs for the restaurant and Smart and Final was so pleased that one of its long-time business customers was selected as the winner.
