Girl Scout Cookies return with a New Flavor
The real match up is choosing between Thin Mints and Samoas.
Girl Scout Cookies have made their comeback with all of our favorite flavors including a new one- “S’more.”
S’more is girl scout’s favorite, especially for scouts, Kelly and Alexis.
“It tastes just like a s’more, it get’s all gooey.”
“So, it’s just like a s’more but a cookie, and I just like s’mores.”
It only happens once a year, where hundreds of girl scouts in the community go out and sell cookies to raise money for troop expenses. Troop 200 Leader, Jessica Roman, would like to take her group of girls to SeaWorld and cover other expenses raised from the cookies.
“It pays for camps, other girl scout adventures, and we would like to take the troop to SeaWorld, that’s the end goal and also each girl has their own little goal that they want to accomplish.”
It’s a sweet tradition that does a lot more than just satisfy buyers. Troop 179 Rebekah Stewart, is one of the parents from the Yuma Proving Ground group and hopes this teaches girls more than just selling cookies.”
“Well when they sell the cookies, they’re learning business, they’re learning about business ethics, they’re learning customer service, they’re learning management and how to interact with people.”
You can buy your cookies at any Walmart location and in the Yuma Palms Mall area until March 3rd.
