Topic of the Day: Clown Costumes Pulled

13 On Your Side wants to know your thoughts: It started simple enough people across the country spotting people dressed in clown costumes walking about. Since then, some have taken the trend and used it to their advantage; police in Greenville, South Carolina, were alerted this summer to clowns trying to lure children from an apartment complex into the woods. In Texas and West Virginia, people dressed as clowns were arrested for chasing strangers with sticks and baseball bats. In Ohio, businesses have been robbed at gunpoint by suspects wearing clown masks and in Los Angeles a man was arrested after he fired at a clown holding a knife. Those types of reports were to blame for Target’s decision to pull clown costumes from their shelves; since the clown trend began sales of clown masks and costumes have grown by as much as 300% according to Halloween Express one of the world’s top costume distributors. 13 On Your Side wants to know your thoughts: What do you think about Target pulling their clown costumes off their shelves?
