LAPD Identify man shot and killed at the end of a car chase
LOS ANGELES (AP) – Authorities have identified the man who was shot and killed by Los Angeles police at the end of a weekend car chase.
The Los Angeles County coroner’s office says he is 18-year-old Carnell Snell Jr. of Los Angeles.
An autopsy is planned to determine the cause of death. Police say Snell was shot after he ran from a car that officers had tried to stop because they suspected it was stolen. Police also say a gun was found where he died.
