Helping 40 families in need

YUMA, Ariz - The Discovery Outreach Program at Crane Middle school (CRMS) is currently seeking food and money donations for their service project, "Hope for the Holidays."

The goal is to provide 40 families with a complete Thanksgiving meal and some added care-items such as blankets, diapers, jackets, and school supplies.

More importantly, this program teaches students to come together as a team and to be able to help others.

"Hope for the Holidays" provides students not only with a fulfilling meal, , but with the opportunity to connect with family and friends in hopes that they will make lifelong memories," said Kait Small, a teacher at CRMS.

Students are currently seeking Thanksgiving donations through November 22, and will continue to accept items through December 13.

Members of the community may drop off canned food, money donations, and care-items at Crane Middle School, located at 4450 w. 32nd Street in Yuma, or the Crane School District Office at 4250 w. 16th Street in Yuma. CRMS asks to make monetary donations payable to  crane Middle School.
