Local teacher shares how she teaches historical event to high school students

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) -  It has been 23 years since the Twin Towers in New York were hit, and in the day of remembrance, we spoke with Selena Shelton, a Yuma High School history teacher.

She shares how she is able to teach students about a historical event that happened that she lived through, but her students were not even born yet.

Shelton also says she sees most students are able to understand what happened 23 years ago as they themselves have gone through historical moments themselves like the COVID-19 Pandemic.
