Poll: Most Americans have not returned to pre-pandemic life

(KYMA, KECY/ CNN) - According to a new Kaiser Family Foundation poll, the pandemic is not over for many people, finding most Americans report they have not entirely returned to normal life.

42% say they are doing some -- but not all -- of the activities they engaged in before the pandemic.

17% say they are doing very few of those activities.

And 59% said people should continue wearing masks in some public places.

That perspective continues to divide people along political lines, with more Democrats favoring masks than Republicans.

Black, hispanic, and lower income people are also more likely to favor mask wearing.

48% even say the federal government should extend the mask requirement on airplanes and other transit.
