The White House launches ‘Clean Air in Buildings Challenge’

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY-TV/CNN) - The White House wants building owners to upgrade the ventilation in their facilities to combat COVID-19.

The Biden administration launched the "clean air in buildings challenge" on Thursday, they say it's a call to action for building owners and operators.

They want them to use the environmental protection agency's guidelines to improve their ventilation systems.

According to the EPA, actions like creating a clean indoor air action plan along with enhancing filtration and cleaning could reduce the risk of spreading airborne infectious diseases like the coronavirus.

The challenge is a part of the White House's larger national COVID-19 preparedness plan.
