Alaska Airlines launching flat-rate, monthly subscription for frequent flyers

(KYMA, KECY) - Alaska Airlines is launching two subscription services for flyers looking to save money.

It announced its Flight Pass and Flight Pass Pro programs.

The plans give travelers up to 24 round-trip flights a year at a fixed monthly rate.

A pass can used to fly between 16 west coast cities, including popular spots in California, as well as flights from California to Reno, Las Vegas and Phoenix.

Alaska Airlines says the budget friendly Flight Pass plan starts at $49 per month while Flight Pass Pro version will start at $199 a month.
