Peloton is sending a warning out to owners of its Tread-Plus Treadmills

(CNN) - Peloton CEO, John Foley sent a letter to Tread-Plus owners on Thursday, issuing the warning and citing the tragic accident.

Foley didn't go into detail about what happened.

He says peloton is quote "Aware of only a small handful of incidents involving the tread-plus where children have been hurt."

In a statement the company says it's shocked and saddened.
