Shooting occurred Saturday near Atlantic Station

ATLANTA, Geor. (NBC) - Multiple people suffered gunshot wounds Saturday near Atlantic station in Atlanta.

The shooting took place at one of the most popular shopping and entertainment destinations in the city.

The shooting also took place at one of the busiest times, with Black Friday recently concluding.

Police have confirmed that one person died and five others traveled to area hospitals.

Not only that, police believe the victims are 15-21 years of age.

In an evening press conference, officials said an off-duty police officer escorted group of juveniles off an Atlantic Station property.

A dispute then occurred and escalated to gun fire.

Furthermore, an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
