Georgia Senate runoff sets new voting records

(NBC) - Georgia has already set new records for early voting.

In the runoff between Democratic Senator Raphael Warnock and Republican challenger Herschel Walker, more than 1.85 million Georgians voted early.

With this in mind, these numbers have broken two single-day records in about a week.

That includes more than 76,000 Georgians who didn't turn out in the general election.

Furthermore, Democrats are outpacing Republicans among early in-person and mail votes by a heavy margin of 52% to 39%, according to data provided by Targetsmart.

In addition, a new CNN poll indicates that Warnock is leading Walker by a margin of 52% to 48%.
