YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Arizona House Democrat Leader Reginald Bolding and Representative Lorenzo Sierra will join President Joe Biden to celebrate passage of the Inflation Reduction Act.

According to a press release, the legislation, signed in August, will provide the largest investment in the fight to stop climate change.

Not only that, the Act will lower healthcare costs, provide relief for working families, and to reduce the national deficit.

"Arizona is ground zero for the climate crisis. And if we are going to ensure access for our children to clean air and clean and accessible water, and to preserve our beautiful and unique wildlands, we have to act now at every level of government – local, state and federal. The Inflation Reduction Act is the boldest action we have ever seen to combat climate change and to lower energy costs for Arizona families. It is an honor and a privilege to join President Biden in signing this historic legislation."

Sierra added, "The Inflation Reduction Act gives hard-working families needed help when paying for necessities such as gasoline and groceries. I'm proud to join President Biden at the White House to celebrate the passage of this landmark legislation and to represent our state."

Furthermore, the ceremony starts on Tuesday, September 13 at noon. This event will be livestreamed.
