2 people died in Virginia plane crash on Saturday

SUFFOLK, Virg. (NBC, KYMA/KECY) - A small plane crashed in Virginia on Saturday, killing two people on board.

In detail, police say it crashed around noon in a rural area in Suffolk.

The plane caught fire, causing a fast-moving wildfire that forced people to evacuate living nearby.

No word where the plane was flying from, where it was going to, or what may have caused the crash.

Additionally, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation and Safety Board (NTSB) will be investigating.
