New York City preps New Year’s Eve ball drop
NEW YORK, N.Y. (NBC) - Times Square's iconic crystal ball is all ready for this weekend's big night.
The final Waterford crystal triangles were installed onto the ball Tuesday.
Organizers had replaced about 200 of the more than 2,000 triangles on the ball this year.
The 192 new crystals representing the 2022 theme of the "Gift of Love."
For the first time since the beginning of the pandemic, there will be no restrictions for the Times Square festivities.
