WASHINGTON, D.C. (NBC) - President Biden tweeted a photo of himself and the First Lady Jill Biden, decorating the Christmas tree.

They are celebrating a chilly Christmas at the White House after attending a Christmas Eve Mass with the family on Saturday.

The White House also said the Bidens followed the Mass with their traditional Christmas Eve Italian dinner.

On Friday, the first couple made a special visit to Children's National Hospital in Washington, D.C.

The first lady read the book to the kids while President Biden helped to hold it up.

The Bidens then visited with children and families in the cardiac unit, according to the White House.
