Vaccines reduced global COVID deaths by 63 percent in 1st year
(KYMA, KECY/CNN) - COVID-19 vaccines have helped to cut down the number of deaths around the world.
This data comes from the CDC.
It showed that in their first year of use, COVID-19 vaccines prevented an estimated 14 to 16 million deaths globally.
That represents a 63 percent reduction.
Despite this success in the United States, the increase of the COVID-19 vaccines appears to have stalled.
Two-thirds of Americans have gotten their initial two shots.
But less than half of those have gotten a booster.
