Covid hospitalization remains higher for unvaccinated

(KYMA, KECY/ CNN) - Unvaccinated adults are 3 times more likely to be hospitalized with covid-19 than those who were vaccinated.

That's according to a study published Friday by the CDC, which reviewed hospital data between march and may 20-22.

the research also shows a growing share of hospitalizations among vaccinated adults.

during the original omicron wave, just 16-percent of hospital patients were vaccinated

there has also been an increase in hospitalization rates for people over the age of 65.

the CDC is urging Americans who are eligible to get their boosters
