Car Show held in the Foothills to help out the Crossroads Mission
The show gave local dads a chance to celebrate fathers day, while also helping out a local organization in need - 13 On Your Side's Luis Lopez reports
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - If you happened to be driving in the Foothills on Saturday, you may have noticed a lot of classic cars.
They were all out celebrating Fathers Day with the Family Thing Car Club.
All while helping out the Crossroads Mission in the process.
The clubs Vice President, Alfredo Rodriguez, says it was nice to help out, and also provide some entertainment for families.
“Something to get all the fathers together, we’ve got some great cars, and I mean have a good time,” Rodriguez said.
The show was held over at the Simply Shabby Mini Mall.
Raffles were part of the fun, and over 30 cars were on display.
As locals and dads walked around to take a look.
“We got all kinds of cars out here today, we got from muscle cars to low riders to the little euro cars, we got some pedal cars out here we got a little bit of everything,” Rodriguez said.
The event is the clubs first show, something they wanted to do to get donations for the Crossroads Mission.
Which is in most in need of things like water bottles, and men's underwear.
"I mean a lot of them came just to support us, I’m surprised with the turnout, a lot of people out here want to help out our community out here,” Rodriguez said.
If you weren’t able to make it out to Saturday’s show but still want to help, Rodriguez says you can make a donation to Black Bear Diner.
