Russian forces continue to show no sign of stopping in Ukraine

MARIUPUL, Ukraine (KYMA, KECY/ CNN) - Russian forces continue to show no sign of stopping its invasion of Ukraine.

Ukrainian officials say missile strikes are not showing any decline and evacuations of civilians are being blocked by the Russian forces.

CNN reports Ukrainian officials saying a scheduled evacuation from southern Mariupol was thwarted by the Russian military.

According to CNN, the Ukrainian official says about 200 civilians were on a bus assuming they were headed to safety and quickly learned they were being taken to Russian-controlled territory in the East.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says, "Comments by Russian commander show Russia wants to invade other countries, attack on Ukraine was only the beginning."
