New general selected by Russian President
RUSSIA (KYMA, KECY/CNN) - Amidst the regrouping of Russian troops in Ukraine, Vladimir Putin has selected a new general to lead the war.
The decision has come days after Russia's unsuccessfull attempt to take over the Ukrainian Capitol Kyiv.
General Alexander Dvornikov is the new general appointed by Putin and served as commander during Russia's involvement in the Syrian civil war.
The series of operations led by Russia were known for being brutal and deadly to the civilian population of Syria.
