Increase of drone activity causes concern

Nebraska (KYMA, KECY) - Law enforcement in eastern Nebraska said they are seeing an increase of drone activity in the sky, causing concern.

With the recent sightings many people are becoming concerned of the interntions of the drone's pilots.

A website was launched Wednesday by the Federal Aviation Administration, and Nebraska State Patrol to help gather information on suspicious drone activity.

Currently there are guidelines in place to be able to fly drones legally which are drones that weigh slightly more than half a pound is supposed to be registered with the FAA. Also when flying a drone at night, the drone must have anti-collision lights along with a special waiver.
