Kyle Rittenhouse has been declared not guilty
Full acquittal of all charges
KENOSHA, Wis. (KYMA, KECY) - On November 19, after several deliberations, a jury has found Kyle Rittenhouse not guilty on all counts.
18-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse was acquitted of first-degree intentional homicide and several other felony charges in connection to the fatal shooting of two people and wounding of another during an incident in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
Early in the week of November 14, Rittenhouse's defense filed for a mistrial with prejudice for prosecutorial overreach but Judge Bruce Shroeder did not rule on the motion.
"I didn't do anything wrong. I defended myself," testified Rittenhouse, as he stated he was only acting in self-defense during the Wisconsin unrest in 2020.
Judge Schroeder also dismissed a misdemeanor weapon possession charge, along with smaller violations.
