Police: Suspect arrested in shooting; 2 killed, 4 injured
A suspect was in custody Tuesday following an early morning shooting that left two people dead and others wounded following an argument at a house party, police said.
Police did not immediately release the suspect’s identity but said he surrendered after an officer spotted him driving a vehicle with a flat tire several hours after the shooting.
Sgt. Armando Carbajal said initial reports indicated the suspect left the party after the altercation early Tuesday morning and later returned, knocked on the door and began shooting party-goers when the door opened.
The shooter then fled again, Carbajal said.
Preliminary information provided by witnesses indicated the altercation might have involved a relationship, Carbajal said.
Before leaving after the altercation, the suspect “was actually at this party for some time,” Carbajal said.
The incident occurred near North 27th Avenue and West Dunlap Avenue.
