Attorneys on strike for second day
Imperial County Deputy DA’s were on strike for the second day today.
Attorneys said supervisors have not reached out to them to find a middle ground on which both sides can agree. Some attorneys said they’re already sending out resumes to other cities. They’re losing confidence on the supervisors’ willingness to work out a deal with them.
They said some of them are even working for free on some special cases during the strike to show their good faith. They said no criminal cases will suffer from their strike for the time being. They cannot guarantee that if the strike goes on for a long time.
They plan to be on strike tomorrow if negotiations are still stalled.
