Man accused of leading police on pursuit appears in court

The man accused of kidnapping a woman then taking her along while trying to get away from police made his second appearance at the Yuma Justice Court Thursday.

Robert Cuen, 33, was arrested Tuesday on seven felony charges.

Cuen is facing four felony charges including aggravated assault and unlawful flight from pursuing law enforcement, according to court documents.

Cuen’s bond was increased from $33,800 to a $50,000 cash bond.

Cuen was arrested after Yuma police (YPD) said he approached a victim known to him and pointed a gun at the victim.

YPD said when they were able to make contact with Cuen, he led them on a short pursuit.

He is expected to be back in court next Friday.
