U.S. Marine Drum and Bugle Corp. holds dress rehearsal before tour
The United State Marine Drum and Bugle Corp are putting the finishing touches in their battle color ceremony.
The unit had their dress rehearsal Saturday morning and have been training in Yuma for the past month and is preparing for a six-week long tour that begins in Yuma and up the coast of California.
Master Gunnery Sergeant Keith Martinez of the U.S. Marine Drum and Bugle Corp said the battle color ceremony is a must-see event.
“We’re traveling ambassadors for the Marine Corp. Many people don’t ever get to see a marine in their lifetime. So what we get to afford them is that opportunity. We travel around and go to their hometowns and they get to see a side of the marine corp that most people don’t get to see,” said Martinez.
The unit will perform the national anthem at the Yuma Air Show next week before heading off to the golden state.
