Business owners accused of fraudulent schemes face multiple charges

Two business owners accused of fraudulent schemes in the Foothills area are now facing multiple charges following a court appearance Friday.

Business owners Yvette Reckards and Michael Reckards are each facing nine charges that include two counts of theft and seven counts of fraudulent schemes.

According to the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office, deputies met with the numerous reporting parties that stated that they had made arrangements with Yvette’s Homes Sales to either purchase or sell an existing park model home in several trailer parks within Yuma County.

In each instance, the suspects had failed to complete the agreed transactions.

Both were arrested on January 27 and remain in custody. They both have a cash-only bond of $300,000.

They are expected to be in court Monday at 9:30 a.m. where they will be formally charged.
