IVC event celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month

Imperial Valley College kicked off Hispanic Heritage Month celebration with an event Friday.

It’s an opportunity for the community to get a taste of the rich H ispanic culture.

There will be live music, games, and even ‘ luchadores’ .

The school hopes that with the participation of residents, the event can be a lasting tradition in the valley.

Steven Rosas, who is part of the Associated Student Government said, “Just a great time. A great time. Something that we do plan on continuing. And hopefully, with the support of the community, it becomes something bigger and maybe change of venue.”

The event is located at the campus amphitheater and begins Friday night at 5 p.m.
