Celebrate national ‘Coffee with a Cop’ day with YCSO in the Foothills

The Yuma County Sheriff’s Office will be hosting a “Coffee with a Cop” event as a day dedicated to encourage communication and positive interactions between law enforcement agencies and the public on Wednesday, October 3.

“Coffee with a Cop” is a community outreach effort that provides opportunities for community members to informally meet officers and discuss community issues.

YCSO said its goal is to break down barriers and allow for relaxed, one-on-one interaction.

Similar events are being held across the country, as local police departments strive to make lasting connections with the communities they serve.

The event wil be held at The Donut Coral in the Foothills located at 11411 S. Fortuna Road.
