Police: Cocaine found in man’s bag at Phoenix Airport
Police say a man has been arrested after more than 2 pounds (0.90 kg) of cocaine were found in his checked bag at the airport in Phoenix.
Phoenix police spokesman Sgt. Vince Lewis says 45-year-old Jason Bunts was arrested Saturday after agents with the Transportation Security Administration discovered the drug in the bag.
Lewis says a flight was delayed briefly when the airplane returned to the gate at Sky Harbor Airport for Bunts to be arrested.
Lewis says Bunts was booked into the Maricopa County jail on suspicion of possession of narcotic drugs for sale. Jail records do not list an attorney who could comment on his behalf.
